Taurus

The project consists of creating a ceramic bull, commissioned by a private individual. The subject was chosen for personal and symbolic reasons: it recalls his zodiac sign, his passion for Spanish culture, and his interest in the financial world, where the bull represents strength and growth.

I began the work with a morphological analysis of the animal to identify its essential formal characteristics. I ruled out a realistic representation, preferring a minimalist synthesis based on structural lines. The horns, pointing upwards, express an upward momentum and give direction to the subject. The torso has broad shoulders and a narrow pelvis to accentuate its power, while the short and spaced legs ensure a sense of stability.

The surface was treated with light textures to enhance the material, but the finish remained natural to keep the focus on the shapes.
